On the Road

We have been on the road non-stop for almost three weeks now with another four or five to go before we begin our summer schedule and do it all again. Along the way we have seen some amazing sunrises, incredible sunsets and many winter storms. The desert has been warm and the mountains bitter cold but we have managed to come back with many stunning images. But instead of updating my fine art images, this post is to show off a few of the fun times"on the road again!"
This roadrunner wasn't scared of anything... I think if you look to the right you will see why.
My favorite campground! Right below Mt. Whitney.

Can you see our's? It's between the big one and the other big one.

New Sedona

A new image from beautiful Sedona Arizona. This area is at the end of a long scenic dirt road before you get back to town. We had been in Flagstaff for a speaking engagement and after a frame shattering disaster, transmission issues, too much rain/snow and not enough good light I was very pleased to have walked away with this image. I am in Las Vegas now waiting for the big black cloud to lift over Red Rock Canyon and hopefully see some nice light. Keep checking back to see what I come away with! Then we are off to Death Valley!

Snow Snow Snow

Anyone who lives on the west coast has noticed the extreme abundance of snow that we have been receiving. Luckily we are currently on our winter tour so we have been able to enjoy the snow in the mountains, over the desert and even on a few coastal ranges. This particular image was no easy one to get. We had been driving around Yosemite Valley, where hundreds upon hundreds of trees had fallen due to the heavy low elevation snow that they are no used to. Around every turn we had to stop while work crews moved the trees covering the road only to go around the next corner and find another one down. Thats when I decided that we were going to go to this previously scouted area and wait for the light, rather than check out a few other areas and take the chance of hitting another downed tree. As we sat here and watched the sun rise, I knew that it was a good decision. Now, off to The Grand Canyon!
